Children's Leisure

Children in the 1920’s enjoyed a variety of different activities. Some of the most popular pastimes were classic games like checkers, jacks, and dominoes. Commercially manufactured toys (since most toys before that time were handmade) and gender specific toys were also favorites of children. Girls played with such as toy sewing machines and Raggedy Ann dolls, while boys enjoyed Lionel train sets, Lincoln Logs, and toy guns. Also popular were Erector sets, wind-up toys, and Tinkertoys.
